how do you grow carnations from cuttings

The best time to take cuttings is mid to late summer when the plant has finished flowering. Take a non-flowering stem and remove the lower foliage. Place the stem into some Yates Cutting Powder and put the stem into a pot that has been filled with potting mix or propagation mix in it. You can put several cuttings in the same pot. Keep the plant watered and in a warm position where it will develop roots. Once the roots have developed, you can plant out in your garden. Enjoy the beautiful perfume.
