How do you grow Pansys?

Symptoms noticed in past 6 weeks. Effects mature and new plants. Weather has been about 6 - 20C, some rain. Area receives sun during the day. Garden bed watered in the evening when dry. Other plants in the bed don't seem to be effected by the same symptoms.

Hi Ian,

Thank you for sending the photo. Pansies can suffer with a bacterial leaf spot and also downy mildew. Ensure that your plants receive at least 6 hours of sunlight each day and try watering earlier in the afternoon. This will make sure that the leaves are not wet before darkness sets in. Remove the badly affected leaves and dispose of them and spray the rest of your plants with Yates Liquid Copper. Spray now and repeat the application every 10 - 14 days.
