Getting there
NaomiB is talking about growing Peas, Broadbeans, Beetroot from Central Coast
This morning I squashed all the aphids on my broadbeans and then gently washed them off with the hose. It doesn’t look like the soapy water I used on another plant last week worked, as the aphids were all over it again, so I’m going to see if I can find something else to get rid of them.
I meant to take a before photo of all the aphids on my broadbeans, but I forgot. Instead, there’s a landscape photo of the snow peas and broadbeans; a close-up of one of the broadbean plants (I can’t quite believe is still growing considering it bent over in the middle and almost snapped off, but it’s a sturdy thing and has curved back up and started reaching for the sky again); a close-up of the only surviving beetroot; and a landscape photo of the broadbeans and snowpeas from an angle more flattering to the broadbeans.
