Yesterday I got two sticks of bamboo and some jute and made a frame for the snow peas to climb up.  I really hope it works.  I got some advice from Dad, which I sort of followed, but not quite.

The snow peas have grown up this week and they’re going to need something to climb up soon, so that will be the test.

The broad beans have grown heaps too.  I’ve never seen broad bean plants before, they’re not how I imagined.  I thought they’d look more like the peas.

The beetroot still hasn’t broken the surface and I’m thinking about planting some more seeds today.  I read on another blog that someone else had soaked their seeds before planting them and Dad asked if I’d done that too.  So, maybe I’ll soak them today and them plant them and see what happens.

The carrots are still in the ground too.  Cross fingers they’re liking all the sun we’re getting this weekend and will germinate this week!
