Absorbed by the foliage, the chemical is translocated down to the roots to destroy the weed, roots and all. First signs are a gradual yellowing and wilting of the plant. This advances to a complete browning of the entire weed and the death of the root.
Glyphosate
HOW TO PREPARE: 1. Lift lid on cap. 2. Remove sprayer from under handle and straighten hose. 3. Insert attachment at end of hose into hole in cap to lock hose permanently in place. 4. Adjust the spray pattern from a fan to a narrow jet by turning the end of the trigger. 5. Pump 5- 10 times to commence spraying. 6. After spraying, wind hose around trigger and replace under handle.
HOW TO APPLY: Apply to actively growing plants when most have reached the early head stage. Spray all foliage until just wet. Repeat treatment for perennial species. Apply to onion weed & oxalis species (soursob) when flowering.
Poor results may be due to: Weeds not actively growing; Poor leaf cover on weeds; Rainfall up to 6 hours after application; Weed seed germinating after application; Weeds disturbed before chemical can take effect.
Corrosive to many metals. Do not allow spray to contact or drift onto plants you do not wantkilled. Hose off immediately if accidentally sprayed.DO NOT re-use containers for other purposes. DO NOT allow chemical containers or spray to get into drains, sewers, streams or ponds.
