How It Works

The Amitrole and 2, 2-DPA are absorbed mainly by the foliage and kill existing growth. Simazine is a long-term soilsterilant which is absorbed by the roots and kills all seedlings shortly after germination.

Ingredients

Amitrole, simazine, 2,2-DPA

Directions for use

Dissolve 100g in 9 litres of water and apply by watering can over 20m2. Apply when weeds are growing actively. Treated areas should be watered five days after application to enable better uptake of the weedkiller by the roots.

Effectiveness

Poor results could be due to:
Applying under dry soil conditions and not watering in5 days after application.
Rain falling within 24 hours of application.
Uneven application.
Dense growth of large weeds, 30cm or more in height. These should be cut to 10 cm height before application.

Precautions

Do not apply to areas where wanted plants and lawns are growing or will be planted within one year.
Do not apply to areas which drain directly onto lawns and garden beds. Avoid applying near lawns and shallow rooted plants.
Do not allow spray to contact or drift onto plants you do not want killed. If accidentally sprayed, hose off immediately to reduce injury.
