Cucumber 'Gherkin Pickling'
An easy-to-grow, small fleshy gherkin. Ideal for pickling and in salads. Pale green and cylindrical. Harvesting daily, when 5-10cm long, ensures bumper crops.

For early sowing raise in pots of Yates Seed Raising Mix under cover. Transplant after 3-4 weeks. For direct sowing press 4-5 seeds into mounds of moist soil 40cm apart. Later thin to the two strongest plants.
Care
Grow in a sunny, well-drained position. Raised seed beds give best results. Prepare soil by adding Thrive Granular All Purpose Fertiliser. Apply Yates Thrive Soluble Fertiliser regularly to encourage stronger growth. Protect from snails with Yates Blitzem.
