How to use

You will need:

  • Potting mix
  • Fertiliser
  • 12 seedlings
  1. Choose a good quality potting mix (e.g. Yates Premium). If your potting mix doesn’t have added fertiliser, mix in some Yates Acticote® Pots Planters & Garden Beds.
  2. Begin filling your Yates Vertical Garden Bag with mix, making sure the bottom corners are full.
  3. As you fill, firm down potting mix then plant seedlings through holes in side.
  4. Regularly tap the base on the ground to settle contents and add more potting mix as you go.
  5. Leave a couple of centimeters free at the top.
  6. Prop Yates Vertical Garden upright and tap the bottom gently on the ground again. Add more mix if necessary.
  7. Plant remaining seedlings in the top of the Yates Vertical Garden Bag.
  8. Water generously, making sure the water reaches the bottom.
  9. Leave your finished Yates Vertical Garden Bag lying down or slightly propped up in a sunny or lightly shaded, sheltered spot for a week to ten days. Water as required.
  10. When ready, hang Vertical Garden Bag from a hook, nail or railing.
  11. Water whenever the mix feels dry.
  12. Fertilise regularly with diluted, water soluble fertiliser, such as Yates Thrive All Purpose.
