Yates Complete Insect Control works on contact to kill surface pests in a addition to working systemically to absorb into grass and roots to kill pests in the soil. The unique formula provides continuing season long protection against pests.

How to use

Measure lawn area before application. Apply Yates Complete Lawn Insect Control and water in thoroughly. DO NOT mow treated lawn for three days. Rain after spraying enhances control of the pests.

SITUATION PEST RATE WHEN TO APPLY
Lawns Curl grubs* (*also known as African black beetle larvae, Argentinian scarab beetle larvae or pruinose scarab larvae). Apply the contents of this 500mL bottle over 150m2

Optimum application time is peak egg hatch which occurs between mid-spring to mid-summer.

Billbug larvae Optimum application time is at the peak of adult bug activity, or when small (4 mm) larvae are found in the thatch or surface soil. This occurs between late spring and early summer.
Lawn grubs (e.g. armyworm, cutworm and webworm). Apply in the late afternoon as an overall treatment. Lightly water the lawn before applying. Repeat treatment if necessary.
Adult scarabs including African black beetle, adult billbug, adult Argentine stem weevil Apply in late afternoon when insects are present.

How to prepare and apply

  1. Shake well before applying.
  2. Connect hose to hose-on applicator. You will need to have a click-on hose connector.
  3. Lift plastic flap at front of applicator.
  4. Turn on the tap using moderate to high water pressure. Water mixes automatically with concentrate in the proper ratio.
  5. Extend hose to the farthest area to be treated and work back towards the tap to avoid walking over wet, treated grass.
  6. Walk and spray lawns at a steady pace whilst sweeping the spray in a back and forth arc. Overlap treated areas slightly.
  7. Keep bottle upright; do not point at the ground.
  8. Close plastic flap to prevent spillage of any unused product before storing. Always store product upright.
  9. Allow the treated area to dry before use.

Caution

DO NOT allow children under the age of 2 to come into contact with treated lawn before it is mowed. DO NOT allow chemical containers or spray to get into drains, sewers, streams or ponds. DO NOT spray if bees are present. Will kill bees if sprayed on while feeding on flowering plants. DO NOT feed lawn clippings to poultry or livestock.

Storage & disposal

Keep out of reach of children. Store in the closed, original container in a cool, dry place. DO NOT store in direct sunlight. Dispose of empty container by wrapping in paper, placing in plastic bag and putting in garbage.

First aid

If poisoning occurs, contact a doctor or Poisons Information Centre. Phone Australia 131126. Remove from the contaminated area. Apply artificial respiration if not breathing.
