Create a Prickle-free Lawn
Winter’s the season when lawns are invaded by a range of ugly weeds. The worst of these is the dreaded prickly bindii that makes walking on the lawn in bare feet a misery. Weeds can really spoil the look of the lawn, too, but with Yates help your grass can be healthy and weed-free.
- Apply Yates easy hose-on Weed’n’Feed to control weeds in a wide range of lawns. Check to make sure it suits your type of lawn (for example, Weed’n’Feed can’t be used on buffalo lawns). If water restrictions limit hosing in your area, you’ll find instructions on the back label that will tell you how to apply Weed’n’Feed with a watering can.
- Spot-spay individual weeds carefully with Yates Bindii & Clover Gun. It comes in a ready-to-use trigger pack so it’s quick and easy to apply.
- If bright green tufts of winter grass appear in your couch or buffalo lawn, it’s easy to control them with Yates Winter Grass Killer.
- Keep lawns happy in acid soil areas by spreading Yates Garden Lime in winter. Then, as spring arrives, feed the lawn with a good quality lawn food.
