Medium_magnolia_hedge1 magnolia hedge

I planted magnolias as a hedge screen along my southern fence line and they dont have a very dense leaf coverage, anything i can do to thicken up the foliage and improve them as a suitable hedge?

Thanks for any assistance.

Answer: Hi Dougal,

Thank you for contacting Yates.

I would suggest to feed the hedge with Dynamic lifter organic fertiliser every 6-8 weeks and prune the top growth to help thickening up the tree.

Hope this helps and happy gardening.

Best Regards,
Louise
