Product of the Month - Yates Garden Sprayer
Yates product of the Month for November 2009 – Yates Garden Sprayer – has all the top features
that Australian gardeners look for in sprayers.
With its five-litre capacity, the Yates Garden Sprayer is a convenient size to fill and carry. The
tailored instructions give clear directions for operation, with special emphasis on sensible guidelines
for user safety.
Other features include a comfort grip pump handle, shoulder strap, detachable spill cap and easy
pressure release valve. The durable brass, 50cm-long spray lance and nozzle have an adjustable
spray pattern that produces a soft, leaf-coating mist or a far-reaching jet for long-range application.
An easy-to-clean, in-line filter prevents nozzle blockage. The easy-grip, non-slip handle has an on-off
trigger that can be locked into position. The flat base sits steadily on the ground when the sprayer is
not being used.
Included in the outer pack is a bonus, year-round, garden care guide that has been produced
expressly for Australian conditions. This helps identify and provide solutions for common garden
problems, and includes a calendar of garden activities that will prove especially helpful for new
gardeners.
Most importantly, as well as a 2 year warranty and complimentary spare parts kit, each Yates Garden
Sprayer prominently displays an Australian contact number and web address for on-hand, after-
sales service (no frustrating Asian or American contact details!).
Yates recommends gardeners have two clearly marked sprayers in their garden sheds – one for
pesticides and one reserved for herbicides. That way, there’s far less chance of accidental cross
contamination and subsequent damage to garden plants.
Yates has spent more than two years designing and developing this reliable, all purpose
garden sprayer for Australian gardeners.

I still own a Yates Maxi 6 sprayer, which may be around 10 years old now. Its been a beauty and pumped hundreds of litres over its life. I used to be able to buy repairs kits with seals and orings etc. Can anyone help me with a supplier for these kits? I would like to keep the old sprayer as the lance was extented to around 1.5mts and is very useful.
