Yes, I agree geraniums are so easy to grow and give ones garden a splash of colour. I am always taking cuttings as someone always wants my geraniums so I keep plenty in pots to give away. I am puzzled as you say they are all called pelargoniums but I thought pelargoniums were the rough edged leaf variety with a more woody stem producing clusters of large flowers. Still they are all beautiful.
Geraniums/pellagoniums are some of the most rewarding plants to grow there is a fabulous range of colours and different types such as the tough ivy variety for walls. I have a lot of them and live in frost prone bendigo, so I like to grow close to the house. Their hardiness and beauty always put a smile on my face.
I would love to buy some good varieties of double flowering geraniums, especially white as I have a very strong growing single red but never see any other colours where I live. Could you please send a Yates catalogue.<br />
Alternately, advise where I can find the nearest nursery for Geraniums.
Lorraine. Why not purchase a packet of seeds? GROWING FROM SEED TAKES NO LONGER THAN PR0POGATING CUTTINGS. YOU
WILL BE SURPRISED AT THE VARIETY AND THE PLEASURE THERE IS IN PROPOGATING YOUR OWN CUTTINGS. I AM NO PROFESSIONAL BUT I DO HAVE A FETTISH FOR SOWING SEEDS.
